Welcome!  We are glad you are here. We hope that by visiting our website  you will discover the wonderful and unique benefits brought to the human body via Reflexology. We want to share  information about Reflexology with you...

Reflexology is a positive and Complementary Method of reducing the physical and mental anxieties in today's hectic world.  It seems doctors agree that over 70% of illnesses are stress related.

There are many benefits found by patients using Reflexology and one is it relieves stress!

As you know...when the feet feel good, the whole body feels good!

Reflexology is based on the principle that the feet, hands (ears and even eyes) are small maps of all systems of the body organs and body systems. Using specific manual pressure techniques to any of the reflexes on the feet or hands stimulates the corresponding body part or body system. It also stimulates the Nervous System.

What Does Reflexology Do?

Reflexology stimulates circulation along with Nerve and Glandular Systems in the body to help restore  balance throughout the body.  Reflexology assists in the elimination of toxins from the body.

The purpose of Reflexology is to assist the body systems to become balanced (homeostasis), to calm the mind as well as stimulate energy flow according to the needs of the body, without harmful side effect.

Where Did Reflexology Begin?

Reflexology is an ancient form of therapy with roots found in ancient cultures including Egypt , China, India, etc.

Hand and Foot Therapy was introduced to the "West"  by Dr. William Fitzgerald in 1913.

It was then called  "Zone Therapy."  Dr. Fitzgerald found that reflex areas on the hands and feet corresponded to organs and other areas of the body within the same "zone."   The modality was further developed and improved by Eunice Ingham, who was a Physiotherapist, in the 1930's and it became known as Reflexology.

Reflexology is a unique Modality in the Health Field.  The purpose of Reflexology is not to treat, cure or diagnose any specific Medical Disorder.   Reflexology is used to promote better health and well being in the same way

as an exercise program or even nutritious eating does for the body.

The use of Reflexology should not be compared to massage or any other type of Therapy or Manipulative Procedure since the purpose and results are different.

Foot Reflexology Session - forward movement into ear reflex point.

We believe the feet tell the story for the body.

A Reflexology Session, whether it be a Foot or Hand Session, (or a combination of the two), is both pleasant and relaxing. For each person the effects of the Therapy will be unique.  Some will be completely rejuvenated feeling energized and refreshed.  Some will be completely relaxed and want to get home for a wonderful nap. (It will be necessary after any session to drink a minimum of 8 ounces of water  to insure the body flushes the toxins released during the session out of the body.)

The Reflexologist will use their hands to apply different degrees of pressure to the feet or hands. The application and the effect of the Therapy is individualized for each person based on the needs for that session.

A Licensed Certified Reflexologist has been professionally trained and can detect subtle changes in specific points on the feet.  By working on these points can typically affect the corresponding organ or system of the body.

A Foot Reflexology Session usually lasts one hour and a Hand Reflexology Session lasts approx. 30 minutes. A Combo Session can be utilized: 45 minutes on feet and 15 minutes on hands completing an Hour Session.

A course of session might be recommended with as few as once a month or as frequent as once

a week depending on your body's needs.
